Google Keep for Android is getting a useful new tool that lets users search for text inside a single note. The feature, called Find in note, is rolling out now and adds straightforward in-note searching to the popular note-taking app.
How the ‘Find in Note’ feature works
To use the new option, open any note and tap the three-dot overflow menu located in the bottom-right corner. Find in note appears at the top of the menu, where you can enter a search term to locate specific text within the note you’re viewing.
Any matching term is highlighted in yellow across the current note. When cycling through multiple results using the up and down arrows, minimizing the on-screen keyboard gives you more room to view your content clearly.
The addition is arriving as a server-side update tied to version 5.26.331.02.90 of Google Keep for Android. Because it’s server-side, availability may vary as the rollout continues to reach more users.
Keep’s recent and upcoming updates
The previous major change to Google Keep came at the start of this year with the reminders-to-Tasks migration, which shifted how reminders are handled across the platform. The new search tool marks the first significant feature update since then.
Looking ahead, the next notable addition is expected to be Keep Live, a capability that lets users create notes and lists simply by talking. Keep Live was previewed at I/O 2026 and is scheduled to arrive this summer.
The steady stream of updates reflects Google’s continued investment in its note-taking app, adding both practical organization tools and voice-driven functionality for Android users.
