Apple Arcade is hosting what Apple calls the sneakiest crossover of the summer, pairing the hit open-world title Sneaky Sasquatch with Subway Surfers+. The event runs exclusively on the subscription service, and it arrives alongside a set of stickers for the Messages app.

According to Apple, the crossover begins today and runs through October 7. A separate content update is scheduled to follow on September 17, giving players two waves of new material to explore.

What the Sneaky Sasquatch crossover includes

During the event, Sneaky Sasquatch reshapes the familiar world of Subway Surfers+ with its own charm and visual style. Players can unlock four character skins and two unique hoverboards, then dash through a reimagined level inspired by Sasquatch Valley locations.

The makeover extends to the smaller details as well. Raccoon coins replace the classic gold ones, and the series’ security guard swaps his usual outfit for a ranger disguise. Fans who prefer to keep the theme in their chats can also download Sneaky Sasquatch stickers for use in iMessage.

Alex Rofman, Apple’s senior director of Apple Arcade, called Sneaky Sasquatch the most beloved game on the service, noting that it has drawn one of its most passionate communities since launch. He said the Subway Surfers+ crossover and the upcoming update are the latest additions, with more planned for the game over the coming months.

The September 17 birdwatching update

The follow-up update introduces a new birdwatching feature to Sneaky Sasquatch. More than 30 species of birds will appear in the game, each ready to be photographed by players.

The mechanic ties photography to progression. Players can snap a photo and deliver it to the birder to log the sighting in the bird database and earn rewards. Not every shot counts equally, however. Photos are graded on the quality of their composition and subject, with bonus value awarded for a bird’s rarity, a brand-new sighting, or a lucky multi-bird capture.

How to access the content

Both the crossover and the birdwatching update are tied to Apple Arcade, Apple’s subscription gaming service, which provides access to a catalog of titles without in-app purchases or ads. The Subway Surfers+ crossover content is available now and remains playable until October 7, while the birdwatching addition goes live on September 17.

Sneaky Sasquatch stickers are available to download separately for iMessage, letting players bring the game’s characters into their conversations across supported Apple devices.
