Until now, though, resolving those issues meant handling each fix yourself.
How the New Password Fix Works
With iOS 27, Apple says its new agentic AI capability can update problematic passwords for you in many situations. According to the company, the Passwords app alerts you to weak or compromised passwords and can update them on your behalf, removing much of the hassle involved.
The practical benefit is straightforward: you can keep your logins secure and ensure you’re using strong passwords without spending significant time managing them manually. When the app detects a login that needs attention, the fix can happen with a tap.
When to Expect the Feature
iOS 27 is currently in beta and is scheduled to reach all users in the coming weeks. The new Passwords capability is expected to ship in iOS 27.0, though its availability during the beta has been inconsistent. As a result, the feature could be delayed to iOS 27.1.
The password automation is one of several Apple Intelligence additions arriving with iOS 27 and its companion software updates, reflecting a broader push toward AI-driven tools across Apple’s platforms.
