Grand Theft Auto VI is back in the spotlight as Rockstar Games has officially released its highly anticipated “extended look” at the game. The in-depth preview is now available on YouTube and on Rockstar’s website, following its debut on Netflix at 3PM ET. Because Rockstar permitted creators to post reaction videos, viewers were technically able to see the footage on YouTube even before the studio’s own upload went live.
Notably, the entire preview features footage captured from the PS5 version of the game, giving fans a clear look at how the title performs on current-generation hardware.
What the Extended Look Reveals
The nearly 27-minute video leans heavily into atmosphere and storytelling rather than a deep dive into specific game mechanics. It centers on the two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, while showcasing a range of locations throughout the game world. In many ways, the presentation feels more like slices of a movie than a traditional video game trailer.
That said, the preview does include several sections highlighting playable moments. Viewers get glimpses of shootouts and police car chases, along with lighter activities such as shooting a basketball and scuba diving. Outlets that received separate previews from Rockstar have shared additional gameplay details that were not part of the publicly released video.
Release Date and Pricing
The wait for the next installment in the long-running franchise is nearly over. GTA VI is scheduled to launch on November 19th, with a starting price of EUR 69.
