Apple has kept a steady release pace throughout 2026, rolling out hardware in distinct waves rather than a single major push. The year opened with a new AirTag in January, gained momentum with a busy March cycle, and continued with two Mac refreshes in August. Altogether, the company has introduced 11 new products this year, and its most anticipated event is still on the calendar.
The first release arrived on January 26 with the second-generation AirTag 2. It relies on Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, which extends Precision Finding range by as much as 50%. The tracker also delivers longer Bluetooth range, a louder speaker, and Precision Finding support on compatible Apple Watch models. Pricing held steady at EUR 25 for a single unit and EUR 85 for a four-pack. Amazon currently lists them at EUR 21 and EUR 69, respectively.
A Packed March Brought Eight New Devices
March accounted for the largest share of Apple’s 2026 announcements, with eight products debuting across the month. It began with the EUR 513 iPhone 17e, which doubled base storage to 256GB and added the A19 chip, C1X modem, MagSafe, and a new soft pink finish.
Apple also refreshed the M4 iPad Air in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, adding 12GB of memory, the C1X cellular modem, and the N1 wireless chip. One day later, the company introduced four more products: the M5 MacBook Air, the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro, an updated Studio Display, and the new Studio Display XDR.
On March 4, Apple unveiled the MacBook Neo, a EUR 599 laptop built around the A18 Pro chip that became the most affordable Mac notebook in the lineup. The month closed on March 16 with AirPods Max 2, whose H2 chip powers upgraded noise cancellation, Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation, among other features not previously available on AirPods Max.
New Mac mini and Mac Studio Arrive in August
Apple’s most recent announcements came on August 25. The updated Mac mini ships with either the new M6 chip or the M5 Pro. Both versions gain faster storage, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and standard 2.5Gb Ethernet, with pricing starting at EUR 770.
The refreshed Mac Studio is powered by the M5 Max or M5 Ultra, and its top configuration supports up to 512GB of unified memory. Both machines are available to pre-order now and begin shipping to customers on September 22.
More hardware could be only weeks away. Apple has scheduled its “Surprise and shine” event for September 9, where the company is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, its first foldable iPhone, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.
