Lego is preparing to launch the largest set in its history, and it comes straight from the Star Wars universe. The new Executor Super Star Destroyer, the personal flagship of Darth Vader, stretches more than four feet when fully assembled, making it the longest Lego build ever released.
The set measures exactly 53.5 inches long and contains more than 6,000 pieces. It arrives on October 4 with a retail price of EUR 686. That figure places it firmly in the premium tier, but the set is part of the Ultimate Collector’s Series, a high-end lineup designed for adult builders who want display-worthy replicas.
What’s Inside the Box
Beyond the towering main model, buyers also receive a smaller Super Star Destroyer intended to show scale. The set ships with seven minifigures as well. For the first time in any Lego release, the full roster of bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back is included: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss. The seventh figure is Darth Vader himself.
The combination of size, piece count, and character selection positions the set as one of the most ambitious Star Wars releases Lego has produced. Its footprint, however, is a practical consideration for collectors, since the finished model is roughly the size of a small child and requires substantial display space.
Early Purchase Bonus
Lego is also offering an incentive for early adopters. Lego Insider members who order the set between October 1 and October 7 have a chance to receive a Lego recreation of Darth Vader’s lightsaber. The lightsaber build is available only as a free gift with a qualifying purchase and cannot be bought separately.
The Super Star Destroyer continues the Ultimate Collector’s Series tradition of large-scale, detail-heavy models aimed at dedicated fans. With more than 6,000 pieces and a length exceeding four feet, it sets a new physical benchmark for the entire Lego catalog when it goes on sale October 4 for EUR 686.
