Ugreen HomeAgent marks the company’s deeper push into the smart home market, moving beyond the chargers and accessories it’s best known for. Ugreen has announced a new local AI hub called HomeAgent, alongside a fresh lineup of smart cameras and other connected devices.
The pitch centers on privacy. Rather than relying on the cloud, the HomeAgent runs its AI models entirely on-device, which reduces the exposure that typically comes with cloud-based processing. That approach positions Ugreen as a more security-focused alternative in a crowded field.
How the HomeAgent Hub Works
The HomeAgent HA100 and HA100 Pro are local AI smart home hubs designed to control devices within Ugreen’s ecosystem using models that run locally. The concept resembles what Google Home does with AI image and event detection, except all processing happens off the cloud and inside a hub that lives in your home.
Both hubs operate on your local network to handle several tasks. The most prominent is generating summarized events around the home. Similar to Google Home’s add-on packages, the HA100 hubs can produce descriptions of what happened in front of your cameras, recognizing people, pets, and vehicles in the footage.
The hub can also proactively create image highlights from the photos it has access to, displaying them on Ugreen’s smart photo frames. Both models include Matter support and can provide unified local control over other devices on the network, serving as a new entry point into the broader smart home ecosystem.
New SynCare Cameras
Ugreen also introduced a set of devices that work with HomeAgent right away, including three security cameras for indoor and outdoor use. The SynCare indoor camera features a pan/tilt base, 4K image capture, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. It ships with a physical privacy shutter, reinforcing the security angle of the lineup.
Two outdoor models round out the group: the SynCare PoE and the SynCare Battery Cam. Both capture three video feeds using a bullet camera paired with a pan/tilt module for wider coverage and up to 9x hybrid zoom. The main difference is power delivery and placement. The battery-powered version charges via a solar panel but may respond more slowly than the Ethernet-connected PoE model.
Availability
The new HomeAgent line launches with the HA100 and HA100 Pro hubs, the SynCare cameras, and several additional smart home devices. All are available for pre-order.
