Gemini Live is getting a major productivity boost, as Google rolls out several new integrations designed to help users manage tasks, email, and daily schedules entirely through voice.
The centerpiece of the update is a connection to Spark, available to AI Pro subscribers and above. With it, users can issue natural voice commands to set up complex, multi-step tasks across the web, Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets. Google offers a few practical examples of how the feature works in everyday situations.
Turning Voice Commands Into Organized Work
For brainstorming, users can speak unstructured thoughts and half-formed plans aloud while on the go. Spark can take that conversational input, organize the key themes, and turn them into a structured outline in Google Docs, ready by the time you sit down to work.
The integration also extends to household planning. You can ask Gemini to maintain a weekly meal plan for your family, request a high-protein vegetarian menu, and instantly generate a grocery list based on recipes already saved in your Docs.
Hands-Free Email and Daily Summaries
Similar to the dedicated Gmail Live experience, Gemini Live now includes deep email integration. Users can ask questions such as “Any new emails?” or “Are there any urgent emails from the kids’ school today?” Beyond checking messages, you can search, summarize, star, archive, or delete emails hands-free.
Gemini Live can also tap into Daily Brief, offered to AI Plus subscribers and above. Prompts like “What’s my daily brief?” or “What does my day look like?” return a summary of everything on your to-do list for the day.
Recalling Past Conversations
The final piece of this rollout brings past chats Memory and Personal Intelligence to Gemini Live, matching the existing text chat experience. Users can ask questions such as “What was the name of that restaurant we went to when we visited New York last summer?” or “Can you pull up the recipe we talked about yesterday?” Gemini then draws from chat history and connected apps to provide the answer.
Google stresses that these tools work without users needing to know which integration to trigger. According to the company, you should not have to guess whether a task requires Spark, a Daily Brief, or a quick inbox search. The system is designed to connect the dots across your day within a single, continuous conversation.
The Spark integration and Daily Brief support are tied to specific subscription tiers, with Spark requiring AI Pro and Daily Brief requiring AI Plus.
