KeyAlarm is a new iPhone app that converts your most important calendar events into full alarms, ensuring you never miss a critical appointment. Standard calendar alerts are easy to overlook, especially when your device is in Do Not Disturb mode or simply out of sight. By escalating select events to alarms, KeyAlarm keeps essential reminders front and center.
How KeyAlarm Works
As the name implies, the app relies on keywords to determine which events matter most. Set a keyword such as “Dentist,” and every future calendar entry containing that term in its title automatically receives an alarm. That approach removes the need to configure reminders one event at a time.
Users can also decide how far in advance an alarm sounds, allowing enough time to drive or commute. The app supports multiple alarms for a single event as well. For example, you can schedule one alert an hour ahead and a second one 15 minutes before you need to arrive, and those settings carry over to future events.
Calendar-Level Controls
KeyAlarm also lets you assign an alarm to an entire calendar. If you keep separate calendars for family, personal, and work commitments, you can adjust alarms for each one independently. Keyword triggering can be applied on a per-calendar basis rather than only across all events. These capabilities are powered by the new AlarmKit framework introduced in iOS 26.

KeyAlarm is available to download for free on the App Store for iPhones running iOS 26 or later. The app begins in a trial mode, and after 30 days users must purchase it outright for EUR 1.
