In the clip, Pikachu wanders through Apple Park, reaches for an apple beneath an apple tree, and eventually heads toward the campus pond. The character is later joined by Cook, incoming Apple CEO John Ternus, and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

Cook described the day’s plans with a touch of humor, writing that the goal was to introduce the Pokémon team to Ternus, “talk gaming, and politely ask Pikachu to stay out of the pond.” He added that “two out of three were accomplished,” a nod to Pikachu’s apparent journey toward the water.
