Google AI Mode is expanding its travel tools with three new features, headlined by flight price tracking, the ability to book hotels, and support for viewing costs in points or miles.
Flight Price Tracking Comes to AI Mode
Google Flights price tracking is now built directly into AI Mode. The integration begins with the option to describe where and when you want to travel. From there, you’ll see a list of flights and prices drawn from more than 300 partner airlines and travel sites.
When you’re ready to purchase, you can assemble a full itinerary within AI Mode and complete the booking through the airline’s website or your preferred booking platform. If you’re not ready to commit, you can follow up with a request to track the prices. AI Mode will ask you to confirm the route, dates, and any filters, then deliver price changes by email. This flight price tracking capability has rolled out across more than 180 countries and territories.
View Costs in Points and Miles
AI Mode can now display the cost of flights and hotels in points or miles. At launch, the feature supports Alaska Airlines / Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Support for Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, LATAM Airlines, and Lufthansa Group is expected in the coming weeks.
The tool lets you make specific requests, such as asking for nonstop options between Atlanta and Miami using American Airlines miles for set departure and return dates. AI Mode then shows how many miles are needed to book matching flights, using the latest data supplied by its partners.
Booking Hotels Directly in AI Mode
The third update is hotel booking. You can chat about your preferences to receive a list of hotels complete with guest reviews and key factors to compare. When a match is found, a “Continue on Google” option appears for supported partners.
From there, it takes only a few taps to select a room type, review details such as the cancellation policy, and complete the reservation securely through Google Pay. When you book through AI Mode, the hotel or booking platform acts as the merchant of record and handles any customer service.
Hotel booking is rolling out now in the United States with support for Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
