Apple Card is picking up a wave of new features, travel perks, and rewards as it marks seven years since its launch, while a major banking change sits on the horizon. Here’s a rundown of the latest updates for cardholders.

iOS 27 brings a Recurring transactions hub

The upcoming iOS 27 update adds a new “Recurring” feature to the Wallet app for Apple Card. You can access it by tapping the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. Inside, you’ll find a list of upcoming recurring charges set to hit your card, including the date and expected amount for each transaction. Beyond the standard list format, you can also review these charges in a monthly calendar view.

The feature is currently available to public beta testers and developers, and it is expected to reach all users next month.

New travel perks with Booking.com and Hertz

Apple recently introduced a perk aimed at frequent travelers. Through a partnership with Booking.com, all Apple Card users receive “Genius Level 2” status after a single stay or car rental, along with 3% Daily Cash on every Booking.com transaction. According to Apple, Genius Level 2 status can unlock benefits on select stays and car rentals, including 10-15% discounts, free breakfast, and room upgrades.

A separate partnership with Hertz gives Apple Card holders exclusive rewards on car rentals. These include free emergency roadside service, the ability to add loss damage waiver vehicle protection at a discounted rate of EUR 15 per day plus tax, a free additional driver at pickup, and at least 5% off Pay Later base rates. Car rentals booked through Hertz also earn 3% Daily Cash.

Elsewhere, Apple has expanded web access for the Apple Card Savings Account. A common complaint about the card has been its reliance on the iPhone for key account management. Now, cardholders can view and manage their Apple Card Savings account directly in a web browser, continuing Apple’s push to broaden access beyond the device.

A major change on the horizon

The biggest shift facing Apple Card is its planned move from Goldman Sachs to Chase. Apple announced the deal in January and said the transition would take place in approximately 24 months. Many questions remain about how the card will operate under Chase, though Apple has promised that several key aspects of Apple Card will not change. More concrete details are expected over the next 18 months as Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Apple work through the terms.

Apple Card continues to offer 3% Daily Cash on eligible purchases, including Apple subscriptions, along with 0% interest financing on Apple hardware. The card first launched seven years ago this month.
