The individual or group behind nine days of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leaks exited the $CYBERLEEK memecoin on Thursday, just hours before Rockstar’s Extended Look premiered on Netflix. On-chain data indicates the wallet that created the Solana token collected roughly EUR 125,397 in wrapped SOL along with 15.4 million tokens in accumulated creator fees, then sold the entire allocation for about EUR 107,361 in SOL in a single transaction. Documentation of the transactions places the total exit near EUR 214,721 across four moves.

How the Memecoin Scheme Worked

“Cyberleek” minted $CYBERLEEK on Solana around August 15, only days before the first gameplay clip surfaced online, alongside a manifesto opposing digital-only preorders. The token was watermarked onto every leaked clip, displayed next to a QR code and a promise that a higher market cap would unlock more leaks. It peaked at around EUR 295 on August 23. As of now, it trades near EUR 2,340 and continues to fall.

The mechanism relied on liquidity provider fees. Each trade through the pool charged a fee that accrued to Cyberleek as the liquidity provider. As every gameplay leak drove trading volume, those fees stacked up. The estimated EUR 214,721 exit came from accumulated fees rather than from selling off a founder’s token stash.

To keep traders committed and fees flowing, 270 million reserve tokens, worth about EUR 2 million at the time, were burned. Observers described the move as a trust-building effort. One person tracking the situation wrote that the scheme was “planned out and executed very intentionally to maximize the money they’ll make.”

Where the Money Went

As the operation wrapped Thursday afternoon, proceeds were cashed out and routed into four newly created wallets. At least 91 SOL landed in a KuCoin account. Another portion went to CCE.Cash, a non-custodial, anonymous swap service.

KuCoin verifies its users through Know Your Customer checks. However, the company is headquartered in the Seychelles, leaving no clear route to serve a civil subpoena or compel compliance. KuCoin has had no U.S. presence since early last year, when it pleaded guilty to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business and exited the U.S. market after a EUR 255 million Department of Justice settlement.

Legal Pressure and the Final Leak

Take-Two filed DMCA subpoenas on August 20, demanding that Microsoft and Discord identify the “CyberLeek” persona by September 4. The company has since served a similar subpoena on X.

The final leak, a clip running more than four minutes covering protagonist Lucia’s prologue, appeared on August 26 with the same on-screen plea for additional leaks in exchange for more trading volume. No new leaks have been posted since the memecoin was cashed out, despite “Cyberleek” claiming to hold a complete working build of the game. The saga has also produced a fake 113GB ISO file padded with malware. GTA VI launches November 19.
