Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 tablets arrive with flagship silicon, 4K displays, and an unusually long software commitment. Unveiled during Innovation World at IFA, the two new Android slates are scheduled to reach buyers this month.
The lineup consists of the standard Yoga Tab Gen 2 and the larger Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2. Both ship with Android 17 out of the box and target users looking for high-end hardware paired with productivity features.
Specifications and hardware
The Yoga Tab Gen 2 features an 11.1-inch 4K display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, and an 11,000 mAh battery. It offers up to 12GB of RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage, plus microSD expansion. The tablet measures just 8.56mm thick.
Stepping up, the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 carries a 13-inch 4K display and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The base model includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with configurations reaching up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage alongside microSD support. It packs a 12,700 mAh battery and comes in at 8.27mm thick.
Each tablet includes a small status LED panel on the rear. Lenovo describes it as primarily decorative, though it can sync with music, videos, and games. Both models also ship with keyboards, and the Plus adds a one-step magnetic keyboard clamshell.
Software support and stylus features
One of the standout claims is 7 years of Android updates. Lenovo says the tablets will receive platform upgrades through Android 24, plus up to seven years of security updates running through 2033.
On the software side, both devices come loaded with Lenovo’s AI suite. They also support the Tab Pen Pro 2 stylus, which brings new gestures including Squeeze to Create, Double Tap, Click pen tail to Draw, Double-click pen tail to Record, and Flip to Erase.
Pricing and availability
Lenovo has set the Yoga Tab Gen 2 at EUR 628, while the Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 is priced at EUR 861. Both tablets are set to launch this month.
