The SwitchBot Lock Ultra Max is a new retrofit smart lock designed to give homeowners multiple ways to enter their homes without a traditional key. Unveiled at IFA, the device is offered as part of a combo package that delivers multi-user entry and as many as 19 different unlocking methods.

The full package, called the SwitchBot Lock Ultra Max Vision Pro Combo, brings together the new Lock Ultra Max, the Keypad Vision Pro, and the Hub Mini Matter. Together, these components support a wide range of entry options for households that want flexible, keyless access.

How the 19 Unlock Methods Work

The system supports fingerprint scans, passcodes, and NFC card access, along with contactless authentication through facial recognition or palm vein recognition. Additional options let users open their doors remotely, by voice, from a smartwatch, or through a widget in the SwitchBot App. The variety of methods is aimed at making entry easier for multiple members of a single household.

Pricing and Availability

The combo is priced at €339.99 / £339.99, which converts to roughly EUR 341. This bundle costs more than the standalone Lock Ultra Max, which is priced at EUR 216. The higher cost reflects the inclusion of the Keypad Vision Pro and the Hub Mini Matter alongside the lock itself.

The retrofit design means the Lock Ultra Max can be installed on existing doors, allowing owners to upgrade their access system without replacing hardware already in place. The combo was announced at IFA and targets buyers seeking a broad selection of keyless entry choices in one package, with facial and palm vein recognition among the more advanced authentication options included.
