Sonoff has introduced a smart heating solution built specifically for traditional home radiators, filling a gap that most smart thermostats leave open. Announced at IFA 2026, the new TRV Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve is available now on the Sonoff website for EUR 30 and supports both Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Nearly all smart thermostats are designed for central hubs and forced-air heating and cooling systems, which leaves out homes that rely on radiators. The TRV Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve addresses that limitation by attaching directly to the valve pipe of a standard radiator. It screws into place and connects to Wi-Fi, delivering app insights and a full range of control options.

What the Sonoff radiator valve offers

The valve lets users switch between several temperature plans and includes an IPS color screen that displays temperature and settings at a glance. Its companion app provides low-battery alerts so the unit can be recharged, along with reminders for frost protection and anti-calcification maintenance.

The valve can also connect to window sensors that automatically stop heating when a window is opened. A built-in child lock prevents accidental changes to the heating schedule. The combination of features suits homes that rely primarily on radiators, use radiators alongside central heating, or heat specific spaces such as a finished basement. It offers the same savings potential and convenience as standard smart thermostats, with additions tailored to radiators.

A smart upgrade for radiant floor heating

For homes with radiant floor heating, common in bathrooms and homes with certain wood flooring, Sonoff also announced a Thermostat Core. It is designed to fit standard hydronic underfloor heating systems and adds complete app controls, scheduling options, and connections with Sonoff temperature sensors, allowing floor heating to respond to the current temperature of a specific room.

The Thermostat Core features a presence-activated screen, frost protection, and other functions similar to the radiator valve. Pricing for the Thermostat Core has not yet been announced.

Additional Sonoff products at IFA 2026

Beyond its heating lineup, Sonoff introduced several other smart products at the show. The company showed off an indoor siren and a window security camera. Eufy also presented a window camera at IFA 2026.

The TRV Smart Thermostatic Radiator Valve is available now on the Sonoff website for EUR 30.
