The JMGO Iris Ultra Max is now available outside China, bringing a 4K 120Hz all-in-one Google TV projector aimed squarely at gamers and sports fans in the United States. Its standout feature is a new dual-iris system that JMGO says delivers an impressive 10,000:1 native contrast.
Contrast has long been a weak point for projectors, and JMGO addresses it by placing two separate physical apertures along different points of the internal optical path. This arrangement controls light scatter and brightness far more aggressively than a single iris can manage. The projector also promises a very bright 6,500 ISO lumen image, powered by a triple-laser light engine.
Brightness and Image Quality
Just a year ago, 6,000 lumens from an all-in-one projector was breaking new ground. Heading into IFA 2026, that figure is becoming a baseline expectation, alongside 4K imagery running at a smooth 120Hz for fast-moving sports and gaming.
One note of caution: JMGO’s earlier N3 Ultimate proved unwatchable at peak brightness due to color distortion, so buyers may want to wait for independent reviews before judging how the Iris Ultra Max performs at its highest settings.
Placement and Gaming Features
Like the previous flagship, the new Iris Ultra Max is mounted on a motorized pan-and-tilt gimbal that offers Wiimote-like control. Combined with a 0.88–1.7:1 optical zoom and V±130% / H±53% lens shift, it provides extensive image placement options while preserving optical image quality.
For gaming, JMGO includes VRR and ALLM to keep latency low and reduce screen tearing. The projector also supports Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 120Hz, covering both cinematic content and competitive play.
Pricing and Availability
The Iris Ultra Max will eventually list for EUR 3,017, but that price drops to EUR 2,586 for preorders, which begin today. Units are scheduled to ship on October 19th.
