The Lenovo ThinkCentre X Ultra is arriving as a compact workstation built around AMD’s new Gorgon Halo silicon. Ahead of its public debut at IFA, Lenovo confirmed the machine will offer up to an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor, paired with integrated AMD Radeon 8065S graphics and as much as 128GB of memory.
The mini workstation is scheduled to launch in November 2026, with an expected starting price of EUR 3,185. That figure applies to the entry configuration rather than the fully loaded model.
Specifications and Ports
At the top of the lineup, the ThinkCentre X Ultra carries the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor and integrated AMD Radeon 8065S graphics with up to 96GB of dedicated graphics memory. System memory tops out at 128GB of LPDDR5x-8533, which is soldered in place. Storage can reach two 4TB M.2 2280 Gen5 SSDs, and the onboard NPU delivers up to 55 TOPS. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The chassis measures 7.2 by 7.2 by 2 inches, making it roughly two inches wider and deeper than a Mac Mini. The front panel holds two 10Gbps USB-C ports and a headphone jack. Around the back, the system provides DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, two 10Gbps USB Type-A ports, and a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports offering 40Gbps, a rare inclusion on AMD platforms. A 10Gb Ethernet jack and a punch-out port for additional output round out the rear connections. Status lighting is visible through the front air intakes.
Software and Clustering
Lenovo is making both Linux and Windows available on the ThinkCentre X Ultra. The system ships with the AMD Ryzen AI Developer Center, which bundles preconfigured AI models, tools, and example workflows. Up to four units can be linked in a cluster to handle larger models, more agents, additional requests, or longer context windows.
Market Context
Lenovo and AMD will face competition in the mini PC category this year. Nvidia is preparing systems powered by its RTX Spark platform, delivered through OEM partners in the fall. The ThinkCentre X Ultra becomes available in November 2026 at a starting price of EUR 3,185.
