Google Health 5.07 is now rolling out on Android and iOS, bringing notable improvements to manual workout logging, map performance, and several bug fixes. The update is widely available on iOS today, while the Android rollout is still expanding.
The release focuses on refining how users track exercise data, with faster syncing and expanded logging options. Google has grouped the changes into activity and fitness updates, weight tracking, and Health Connect fixes.
Improved Manual Workout Logging and Maps
With version 5.07, users who log exercises by hand gain more flexibility. You can now add and adjust more metrics when entering an activity manually, and those edits appear in workout summaries more quickly after they’re made. The update also allows you to log additional metrics when switching from a pool to an open swim exercise.
Maps also receive a sizable upgrade. The experience now features faster loading times along with smoother rendering and adjustments. Google fixed a bug where maps were occasionally missing while using a phone to track a running, biking, or walking session.
Running Distance totals have expanded as well. Trail runs and incline runs now count toward your Running Distance totals, giving a more complete picture of your activity.
Weight Tracking and Health Connect Fixes
For weight tracking, Google recalibrated the graph’s dynamic minimum and maximum range. The adjustment makes weight trends and changes easier to view at a glance.
On the Health Connect side, the update resolves an issue that caused some Android users to lose their connection. Affected users will now see Health Connect listed in the Partner Apps section of the Connections screen.
Availability
The Google Health app update is broadly available on iOS as of today, and the Android version continues to roll out to users. Those on Android may need to wait for the update to reach their device through the Play Store.
