IFA 2026 has opened its doors in Berlin, showcasing a wave of upgraded, AI-powered, and repairable gadgets at one of the world’s largest technology events. This year’s show floor is packed with devices designed to change how we clean, work, sleep, and stay healthy, ranging from a camera-equipped dishwasher to a smart ring capable of contactless payments. Here is a look at the standout hardware on display for a US audience watching what comes next.
Smart Home Appliances Get an AI Upgrade
Miele’s new Diamond G8 dishwasher leads the appliance category with an AI-powered internal camera that scans dishes and determines the optimal wash cycle so no spot goes untouched. The machine also includes energy-saving scheduling, allowing it to delay a cycle until electricity rates are at their lowest.
iRobot is targeting one of the biggest weaknesses in robot vacuums: suction. The new Roomba Max 875 Combo uses SealForce technology to seal itself against carpet, improving pickup on areas that need extra attention. According to Adam Pope, vice president and chief engineer at iRobot, SealForce works much like pressing harder with a traditional vacuum to deep-clean a specific patch of carpet, but in a robotic format. Testing has consistently shown that robot vacuums typically fall short of the suction power delivered by traditional upright models, a gap this design aims to close.
Wearables Push Into New Territory
Plaud expanded its lineup beyond its AI note-taking pin and its credit card-style device with the launch of the Plaud One earbuds. The earbuds capture and transcribe conversations and phone calls, and users can activate the built-in AI assistant by saying “Hey Plaud” to ask questions or issue commands. Anyone using the feature should be aware that recording phone calls without consent from all participants can be illegal in certain states, and informing others that a recording device is in use is strongly advised.
Circular is adding a feature usually reserved for smartwatches and smartphones to its wearables. Its new subscription-free Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim both support contactless payments alongside the health-tracking tools expected from smart rings. The rings also introduce haptic vibration alerts, a feature previously available on the original Circular Ring, together with advanced sleep metrics, glucose trend estimates, and access to the company’s AI health tools.

Beyond appliances and wearables, IFA 2026 is highlighting a broader shift toward repairable and health-focused devices. Attendees have seen Dyson’s largest air purifier to date, a repairable laptop, and a speaker designed to help users fall asleep.
