Gemini Adds Device Help Troubleshooting to Pixel 11

Gemini Adds Device Help Troubleshooting to Pixel 11 - Gemini Device help
Gemini now offers a Device help tool on the Pixel 11, letting users troubleshoot settings, battery, storage and app issues via conversation.

Gemini is being tested with a new Device help tool on the Pixel 11 series, giving users a conversational way to troubleshoot their phones. Google has begun trialling the feature, which allows you to talk to Gemini about issues you may be experiencing with your handset.

The tool can be found within the “plus” menu in Gemini, sitting at the bottom of the list just above Personal Intelligence. At present, it appears in the latest beta version (17.52) of the Google app and carries a Labs badge, signalling that it remains an experiment rather than a finished feature.

How Device Help Works on the Pixel 11

The Device help tool is designed to answer questions about your device, adjust its settings, assist with troubleshooting, and explain Pixel features. Troubleshooting covers a range of common concerns, including connectivity problems, battery life, audio issues, and app performance.

Beyond fixing faults, the feature offers broader management capabilities. You can ask it to help free up storage or review how your storage is being used, audit app permissions, manage app notifications, and configure app timers. It can also provide step-by-step guidance on features, gestures, camera capabilities, and privacy settings.

A Limited Test for Now

For the moment, this appears to be a limited test rather than a wide release. Google’s broader rollouts often take considerable time to reach all users, so this early appearance may mark the beginning of a gradual expansion. The feature is currently surfacing for a small group of testers running the relevant beta.

The addition reflects Google’s ongoing effort to weave Gemini more deeply into the Pixel experience, moving the assistant beyond general queries towards practical, device-specific support. By handling settings adjustments and troubleshooting through conversation, the tool aims to reduce the need to navigate menus manually.

Device help is presently available in the latest beta (17.52) of the Google app on the Pixel 11 series.
